Groveland – Judy Frost Simonds 78, passed away peacefully at High Point Hospice House with her loving family by her side on June 7, 2021 She had resided at Benchmark at Haverhill Crossings for the last two years. Judy attended Groveland Elementary school and graduated from Pentucket Regional High school. Judy was born and grew up in South Groveland. She was a member of Saint Patricks Church. Judy was the daughter of the late Harold “Bud” Frost and Mary F (Dougherty) Frost. Judy worked at the Bagnall School part time in the school lunch program, while her children were young. She was a home health aide and took pride in taking care of others.
She also worked at AW Chesterton in Groveland for thirteen years in quality control and retired in 2013 from Haverhill District Court House after working there for many years.
Judy would put everyone’s needs before hers. Her motto was “Can I help, what do you need?” Family and friends were her life. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports such as baseball, hockey, basketball, softball and football. Judy was always ready to go when someone called. Her favorite past times were spending quality time with family and friends. She loved the beach, going to concerts, spending time in Florida with her sisters, going to the movies, always shopping, and most of all she loved the holidays and red berry picking at Christmas time.
Judy is survived by her loving children, Brian M. Simonds of Haverhill; Lynn M. Quintiliani and her fiancé Steven Ranlett of Haverhill; Kim M. Johnston of Haverhill; Shawn P. Simonds of Groveland; seven grandchildren, Keith Ciaburri, Adriana Quintiliani, Courtney Johnston, Anthony Quintiliani, Austin Simonds, Cole Simonds and Brooke Simonds; three great grandchildren Cameron and Grace Ciaburri and Autumn Quintiliani; four siblings Janet Routhier of Canada; Terry Lapworth and her partner Fred Joyce of Holliston; Susan Bowles and husband Robert (Bobby) of Seabrook, NH; and Harold (Bud) Frost and wife Roseann of Medway. Extended Family and close friend Elizabeth (Bette) Gorski of Groveland, Katie and Pete Goudreau of Natick; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by those she loved, her sister, Geraldine Frost, brothers in law Arthur Lapworth and Barry Gorski and her former husband, Ralph C. Simonds, III, along with many other deceased members of the family.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 10 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 9:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 114 Center Street, Groveland at 10:00AM.
