Julia Kimberly Mae Kent was born November 5, 2001, in Newburyport, MA to David W. Kent, Penny (Packer) Kent and her big sister, Michayla Kent.
Julia had a smile that would light up a room and a full-belly laugh that was utterly contagious. She was a voracious learner, science being her favorite. She loved to cook with family, especially Nana. Julia wanted to be a Forensic Scientist or a Chef and after virtual learning became the new normal she would sit with Michayla for her zooms and lectures and told us she wanted to go to college… Julia loved family game night. Her favorite games were Uno, Skip-Bo, Monopoly and Clue.
Julia loved to watch sports particularly Bruins and NASCAR with her Dad, she’d watch anything as long as he was by her side. Her favorite moments were watching The Office and Big Brother with her big sister. She loved watching movies and listening to country music, her favorites were Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley.
Julia always wanted to help others. She was empathetic and her soul was far older than her actual age. Julia choose to be an organ donor and wanted to help as many people as possible. She has always been so generous and chose to donate several pieces of herself to live on in others.
She has so much personality that to know her was to love her. Julia communicated with eye blinks and her eye gaze Tobi. She never ceased to amaze us with what she could accomplish even though her body that wasn’t always kind to her. Julia will live on in all who loved her, giving us signs when we need reassurance.
Julia is survived by her father, David W. October 27, 2020 at 9:14 pmPenny, Michayla, and David. I’m so sorry for your loss. My heart is so heavy. I will forever cherish the time I got with my feisty BFF. Memories that I will cherish and remember always are when she would request to come to my office for a visit and then tell me I was ugly or I’d ask her a question and she’d say Peace out! Always with that mischievous smile of hers. I will never forget when she asked to take a selfie and before her device even finished with the question, I ran up beside her and told her teacher “We need to hurry up before she changes her mind.” A picture I have had hung up at my desk since the day we took it. You would have thought I won the lottery! But to me that moment was better than winning the lottery. My BFF will forever hold a very special place in my heart. I will miss her beautiful smile each and every day.
My Julia, fly high my beautiful angel! I know you’ll be looking down and saying to yourself “You’re still ugly Nurse Cyndi!”

October 28, 2020 at 7:15 pmKnowing Julia for so many years, I loved that she was frugal with smiles and laughs for me because when it happened it was like Christmas and Fourth of July combined and made my heart so very happy! Those “gifts” from her will truly be embedded in my memories forever. Julia had such deep, meaningful and unique relationships with each member of the family and the love you all shared with her was palpable. Weren’t we the lucky ones to have time with her and to know her. I am so sorry for your loss. With Deepest Sympathy.

October 31, 2020 at 10:56 pmTo Julia’s family & friends, Unfortunately, we never had the pleasure of meeting Julia in person but grew to love her from the stories her Aunt Barb (my cousin) & her Uncle Howie would often tell us. Barb & Howie would light up with pride & joy when talking about Julia. They loved her & took care of her as if she was their own child. Oh how you could see the love on their faces & feel it in their hearts. We grew to know of Julia to have a huge heart, a smart & sharp mind, a contagious smile and was truly a beautiful soul. Our hearts are heavy for the pain & heartache you all feel. She will live on in all of your hearts, as well as the special people she gave continued life too. That is one of the most gracious/great gifts Julia & her family could give anyone. May she fly with angels, swim happily with dolphins, watch over all of you, be pain free at last & rest peacefully. You are in our prayers, thoughts & hearts. Love, Tegwen, Jon & Kristine Helgason and Rachel, Doug, Colwyn, Lachlann, Fiona & Niall Raum.
