Bradford – Kevin J. Francis, 68, husband of Nancy (Nielsen) Francis, passed away from Covid on February 4, 2022 at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill. Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Bernard C. and Mildred I. (McGibbon) Francis. Raised in Haverhill, he attended Burnham School and Hunking School and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1971. His first job was at Casey Paper in Haverhill and continued his career at Raytheon Missile Systems in Andover, retiring after 42 years of employment in 2016. Kevin belonged to Raytheon’s Union IBEW. Kevin met his wife at his brother David and Mona’s house, became engaged after 6 weeks and were married on June 5, 1982 at St. John the Baptist Church, officiated by his oldest brother, Rev. Bernard C. Francis. Jr. They enjoyed 40 years of a happy and devoted marriage. He loved watching football on Sundays and was a big New England Patriots fan often with his favorite cat Teddy sleeping on his lap. He was an avid coin collector for many years. Kevin was a kind and unselfish individual who was always helping when needed. He liked to mow his lawn and would volunteer to take care of anyone else’s yard. He also enjoyed detailing cars for friends and co-workers. Kevin will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his loving wife, Kevin is survived by his mother-in-law Janet Nielsen, sisters-in-law; Linda Nielsen, Wendy Lannan and her husband Kevin; nieces Erin Lannan of North Andover and Brittany Lannan and her fiancé Nicholas Bates. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Geoffrey Goddard, his wife Barbara of Rockport, MA and their children; Benjamin and his fiancé Maegan of Clearwater FL, Timothy of Gloucester, MA, Megan Goddard and her partner Ryan Cotter, their children Haakonsen and Zigfried of Gloucester, MA. They all had many happy cook outs, beach days and Christmas celebrations together. Kevin is survived by his brother Rev. Father Bernard C. Francis Jr. of Hahnville, LA, David Francis and his wife Ramona of St Johns, FL, sister Marjorie Woodburn of Hampstead, NH, sister-in-law Dolores Francis of FL and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Mildred Marion and Ann Marie Richardson along with his brothers; Thomas, Daniel, John and Stephen Francis.
