Lawrence – Leonardo Montanez, 40, passed away suddenly on January 16, 2022 at Manchester Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Raul Montanez and Arlene Escoto. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1999. Leonardo worked as a trucking technician for various warehouses in the Merrimack Valley area. He was a big fan of all the New England sports teams and followed them avidly. He also enjoyed fishing on the ocean, cooking and traveling. Leonardo loved to work on his motorcycle and enjoyed riding. Known for his big heart and great sense of humor, he was always there for his family. Leonardo will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Leonardo is survived by his brothers, Reynaldo Perez of Haverhill; Jose Montanez of NJ; sisters, Chantel Montanez of Grand Praire, TX and Marisol Montanez of Tuscon, AZ; his stepmother, Nidia Montanez; girlfriend Marleny E. Lopez Aguilar; and many nieces and nephews.

He was funny, loyal and a great friend who loved his family. he had the best laugh. My brother we love you and you will always be missed. Leo and I had our way about each other when we were young. But, I got to see his growth everytime I returned home. Leo found himself. He will be missed.
