BRADFORD – Mary Theona Whittaker (Previously Goudreault, was known as “Mari”), 72, of Bradford passed away on Wednesday, April 10 peacefully at her home, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Mari was born in Bradford the daughter of Henry J. and Beatrice V. (Gauthier) Goudreault. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1969. She then went on to study nursing at Northern Essex Community College and worked as a nurse at both Lawrence General Hospital and Whittier Rehab. She later found her calling/passion as a private duty pediatric nurse and her patients quickly became her family. After retirement, Mari’s newest passion was her antiques business she ran with Walter. Mari will be remembered fondly as a devoted partner, an incredible mother and loving grandmother.
Mari is survived by her loving partner of 30 years Walter Spracklin of Malden, her daughter, Janine L. Whittaker and her fiancé Isaac Laffely of Amesbury, and her granddaughter Juliana. Mari was predeceased by her brothers Robert Gaudreau, Thomas Goudreault and William Goudreault.
