HAVERHILL – Mark J. Smith, 59, of Haverhill passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20 at his home.
Mark was born in Lawrence on January 20, 1965, the son of Louis and Nancy (Merrill) Smith. Mark enjoyed movies, hiking, camping and swimming with his adored son. Mark was an animal lover and had trained multiple dogs in his life span. He enjoyed variety of music from the 60’s to the 80’s where growing up; he was able to catch many live concerts. Mark had taken an intertest in playing Pool at a nearby pool hall where he was well known. He enjoyed being a long-distance truck driver where he was able to see allot of the United States. Mark was a guardian to all and will be remembered for his caring and kind heart. Mark is survived by his mother Nancy (Merrill) Smith of Sarasota, FL, his son Shawn Smith of Nashua, NH, his brother Carl Smith of Pelham, NH and his sister Danielle Smith of Sarasota, FL. He also leaves behind his best friend Jeff Marshman who has remained his loyal and trusted friend since grade school.
