HAVERHILL – Mary G. (Johnson) Richards, 68, wife of Edward A. Richards, of Haverhill passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25 at her home.

Mary was born in Beverly on May 29, 1956, the daughter of Ruth (Walton) Johnson. She was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1974 and then went on to earn her Associates Degree from Northern Essex Community College. Mary worked as a Mental Health Technician and case worker for the Department of Developmental Services at the Hogan Regional Center. Mary and her husband were “Snowbirds”, who enjoyed going to Florida for winters. She was known for her sense of humor and being a being a great cook, liked lying by the pool and taking trips to Foxwoods. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her loving husband Edward A. Richards, daughters Dawn Meoli and her husband Vincent of Danvers, Keri Baril and her husband Kraig of Salisbury, Jennifer Richards of Haverhill, Christine St. Germaine of Haverhill and Cynthia Nolin of Salisbury, and her son Edward Richards, Jr. of Seabrook. She also leaves behind her brother Peter Carter and his wife Kerri of Peabody and her sister Margaret “Peggy” LeBlanc and her husband Donald of Wellington, ME; and her 13 grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her sister Patricia Deforrest.
