Haverhill – Patricia A. (Curtis) Swiger, 71, wife of the late Stephen Swiger, passed away September 7, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Ethel K. (Pike) Curtis. She attended Haverhill schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1969. For many years, she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant, working in local nursing homes including Hannah Dustin Healthcare and the Oxford Nursing Home. Every year Patricia looked forward to spending a week with her sisters renting a cottage at Salisbury Beach. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles and visiting her daughter and grandchildren in Tennessee. A giving woman who would give the shirt off her back, known for her kind heart, everyone she ever met loved her as their own mother. Her life revolved around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patricia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Patricia is survived by her children, Jason M. Swiger and his fiancé` Luciene Deoliveira of Haverhill; Stephen L. Swiger and his wife Denise of Haverhill; Anita L. Swiger and her fiancé` Brandon Peraut of Servierville, TN; Sherri A. Swiger of Haverhill; siblings, James C. Curtis and his wife Judith of Plaistow, NH, Robert L. Curtis and his wife Beatrice of Bradford, Dennis P. Curtis and his wife Theresa, Charles L. Curtis and Rosemary Plourde, all of Haverhill; sixteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Stephen she was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas F. Curtis, Fred W. Curtis and Dona M. Colby.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, September 12 from 2:00PM until 4:30PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
