Hampstead, NH – Paula A. (Brown) St. Jean, formerly of Newton, NH, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on April 12, 2021.
Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Ralph L. Brown, Jr. and Harriet A. (Paul) Brown. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1965. For over 26 years she worked for the former Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Paula was instrumental in the success of the Head Start Program in Haverhill with her best friend, Rita Muir. As a child, she was an accomplished ballerina dancer. Paula was known as an outstanding bowler. With her husband Joseph, she travelled across the United States. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she cherished her family and helped raise in addition to her own children, her beloved grandchildren. Paula will be missed by her loving family and friends.
Paula is survived by her children, Joseph R. St. Jean; Scott St. Jean; Gerald St. Jean and his wife Jamie; Jill Fraser; Christopher St. Jean and his wife Jennefer; Vincent St. Jean; Bobby-Jo Cook and her husband Charles; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; her siblings, Les “Sonny” Brown; Gerald and Mary Brown; Ralph Brown; Robert Brown and his partner Ron Bergeron; Fay and Steve Belanger; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by her sister Mary A. Adams and brothers Ronald and Richard Brown.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, April 16 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
