SALISBURY – Philis Jane (Beauvais) Townsend, 58, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on Tuesday, January 2 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
Philis was born in Amesbury on August 22, 1965 to Philip Beauvais and Molly (McGlew) Beauvais-Richard. Philis was a hard worker and had many different jobs over the years working in the manufacturing industry. After living in Lakeland, Florida for many years, she moved back to Newton, NH in 2012, then to Haverhill and most recently spent the last three years in Salisbury. Philis was a homebody who loved to read and go to the beach; she cherished her grandchildren and will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Philis is survived by her daughter Victoria (Townsend) and her husband Adam Beckwith, of Derry, NH and their two sons Mason and Hunter Beckwith whom she loved and adored; her step-daughters Deana and her husband David Pelletier and their three children, of Barnstead, NH and Pamela Townsend and her two children of Arvada, CO; her sisters Bonnie Dufresne, of Newton, NH, Cathy and her husband Earl Pace, of Thornton, NH, Tina and her husband Paul Barcellona, of Concord, VA, Susanne Rogers, of Flat Rock, AL, and Avon James and his wife Wendy Beauvais II, of Georgetown, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her loving companion Andrew “Drew” Ryan, of Salisbury, MA.
