Prudence F. “Prudi” Schofield, 73 January 3, 1951 - June 21, 2024

METHUEN – Prudence F. “Prudi” Schofield, 73, passed away on Friday, June 21 at her home in Methuen.

Prudi was born in Lawrence the daughter of Sebastian and Rose (Jenco) Scuito. She attended Methuen public schools and was a graduate of Methuen High School, class of 1969. While she was employed at various places, she worked and retired from the Lawrence Housing Authority as a Clerk for over twenty years and as a Union Steward saw clerks receive unprecedented increases and benefits. She was passionate about supporting and fighting for the underdog and underprivileged and let no wrong doing go unnoticed. Prudi was known for her big personality, a great sense of humor, keeping a house like Martha Stewart and was a phenomenal cook that hosted unforgettable parties. Prudi enjoyed dirty martinis, Dunkin’s hazelnut coffee with two equals, collecting pig figurines and the company of her kids, grandkids and friends.

A devoted mother and grandmother she leaves her loving children; Rose Schofield of Methuen, Ginger and her husband Anthony McGill of Quincy, Benjamin and his wife, Carmen Acevedo of Lawrence, Nicholas and his wife Sarah Acevedo of Fremont, NH, and Abbey Acevedo and her fiancé TC Zawaira of Methuen, her brother, Michael Sciuto and his wife Maryetta of Maui, Hawaii. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren; Truman Schofield, Dahlin and Hunter Schofield, Francis McGill, Sariah, Grace and Noah Acevedo and Jayce and Mia Acevedo.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 27 from 4PM until 7PM followed by a 7PM funeral home chapel service at the Kevin B.
