Ramona Castillo Tavera January 20, 1938 - May 2, 2020

Haverhill – Ramona Castillo Tavera, 82 passed away May 2, 2020 at Lawrence General Hospital.

Born in Bonao, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Castillo and Anadelia Corona. She immigrated to the United States in 1965 and landed in New York City. In 1989, she moved to Haverhill where she worked at the Davco Shoe Factory. At the time of her retirement, she worked at Haverhill Manor and Wingate at Haverhill Nursing Home for 20 years as a Dietary Aide. Ramona had a very strong faith and was a communicant of St. James Church in Haverhill. She enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with her family and friends. A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Ramon is survived by her children, Maria Tavera of Haverhill; Tomas Tavera and Terri Blinn-Warren of Haverhill; 2 grandchildren, Isabella Diaz and Malik Tavera; sisters and a brother of Haverhill, Methuen, New York, New Jersey and the Dominican Republic.
