HAVERHILL, MA- Robert “Bobby” F. McAuliffe, 71, passed away on February 28, 2023 in Haverhill, MA after his hard-fought battle with lung cancer.
Robert was born to Daniel and Gertrude (Young) McAuliffe on October 5, 1951 in Cambridge, MA. He grew up in Brighton, MA and graduated from Newton North High School.
Robert was a retiree of the Teamster Union. He worked as a diesel mechanic at Lily Transportation for many years. Previously, he owned his own deli in Chelmsford, MA, where he would meet his current wife, Deanna. Together, they would have two sons, Patrick (deceased) and Christopher. Robert was a devoted husband and father. He shared many great memories traveling with family, working with Christopher on cars and motorcycles, and taking trips to the beach. He was a kind-hearted man that was willing to help anyone. Robert had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh by sharing his life stories. He was an avid coin collector and Bruins fan. Robert was formerly married to Patricia McAuliffe, mother of their two sons, Robert Jr. and Bryan, and their daughter Alexandria.
Robert is survived by his wife Deanna (Booth) McAuliffe, his sons Christopher McAuliffe and fiancé Erin Reid, Robert McAuliffe Jr, Bryan McAuliffe and wife Lauren, his daughter Alexandria Carbunari and husband Romulus, former wife Patricia McAuliffe, sisters Edith Taddeo and husband Anthony, Gayle Hogue, and grandchildren Jameson, Jackson, Declan, Nolan, and Gavin.
Robert was predeceased by his son Patrick Booth, brothers Daniel McAuliffe Jr. and Charles McAuliffe, and sister Michelle McAuliffe.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, March 5, from 2 PM until 5 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main Street, Haverhill, Funeral services will be on Monday March 6, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Hearts Parish, 165 Main Street, Haverhill, MA burial to follow at Walnut Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
