Sung Hong, 93 June 10, 1929 - February 16, 2023

Sung Hong, 93, died on February 16 at his residence.

Born in Korea he was the son of the late Soon Chung Hong and So Nyu (Chung). Sung was raised there and ran his own business in Seoul, Korea.  He later immigrated with his family, including his wife, Chung, aka Sun, and their only son, Michael, to Haverhill, Massachusetts, in 1978. He was employed by CompuGraphic, based in Wilmington, MA, in 1978, and Agfa (which acquired CompuGraphic) till his retirement in 1991.

Since then, he has enjoyed his retirement life with his wife, as they regularly visit their only son, Michael, and his family in Hong Kong and Korea.  He enjoyed listening to operas, particularly those by Pucini, and was also a devoted member of St. James Parish on Winter Street in Haverhill for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Chung, aka Sun; a son, Michael; and two grandchildren, Jiwon and Lucas.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, February 20, from 4 PM until 7 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
