Haverhill -Sylvia C. Fraza age 84 of Haverhill, beloved wife of Norman J. Fraza, passed away peacefully on Wednesday after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Sylvia was born in Lowell, MA on November 20, 1936, daughter of the late, William and Lila (Clark) LaFoe. Sylvia grew up in Lowell until marrying and raising a family in Haverhill. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Benson Hospital and Pleasant View Manor in Haverhill. Known for her great cooking, she loved the holidays and spending them with her family. Sylvia enjoyed doing arts and crafts and traveling. With her husband Norman, she visited Disney World in Florida and Las Vegas and enjoyed camping all over. Sylvia lived in Englewood FL from 1996 until 2001 before moving back to Haverhill. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sylvia is survived by her husband Norman J. Fraza Sr., sons; Paul St. George, of Haverhill, Norman Fraza Jr. and wife Kathleen Fraza, and James Angulin, of Dracut, daughters; Donna Fraza, of Haverhill, Diane and husband Stephen Boucher, of Haverhill, Brenda and husband Stephen Gigliotti, of Haverhill, a sister, Beverly Booth and partner Edward Palkey, brother-in-law Richard Laroche, sister-in-law Ann and husband Albert Dodge, cherished grandchildren; Derek Fraza, Chanele Boucher, DeAndra Kellett and her husband, Michael, Devin Boucher, Madison Boucher, Douglas Gigliotti, Harrison Gigliotti and Adam St.George. Great Grandson, great grandsons with Antonio Fraza, Kalib Sullivan and Braxton Cronin. She is predeceased by her sister Shirley Laroche and grandson Jeffrey Fraza.
At Sylvia’s request, there will be no services. We would like to thank the staff at Hannah Duston Nursing Home for their love and care given during her stay there.
