Sylvia L. (Duston) Maxwell, 58, passed away at Holy Family in Haverhill with her loving family by her side.
Born in Exeter, NH, she was the daughter of the Norman P. Duston, Sr. of Haverhill and the late Alice A. (Delorey) Duston. She was educated in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1979. Sylvia was employed in the shoe industry for many years, working as a machine operator for GFI Leewood Corporation. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of a league at Academy Lanes. Sylvia was a big New England Patriots fan and never missed watching a game. She loved dancing, playing pool and spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending as much time as possible with them. Sylvia was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sylvia is survived by her children, Alyce A. Deveau and her husband Mark Rutherford of Haverhill; James M. Maxwell and his wife Amber of Haverhill; two beloved grandchildren, Michelle M. Duston and James M. Rutherford; her siblings, Norman Duston, Jr. of Southbridge; Robert Duston and his wife Judith of Haverhill; Terry Paradis and her husband Edward of Londonderry, NH; Mary Paro and her husband Mark of Allenstown, NH; Penny Rizan of Rochester, NH; and several nieces, nephews and several great nieces and nephews; and a great-great niece and nephew.
