December 14, 2020 at 1:40 amDear Michel, I am very sorry to hear of Virginia’s passing. We were cousins who grew up together on Maple Steeet, in Lawrence, in the fifties. Our fathers were brothers. My dad ‘s name was Jim. Their were four brothers—Ralph, Joseph, James and Michael, and three sisters–Mary, Emily, and Victoria. Everyone lived in our grandmother’s—Nuncia {Nancy} — apartments or next door. She owned two, two -family houses. Uncle Joe and Aunt Lillian lived in grandma’s house on the first floor were Virginia grew up in her early years. Families were quite tight in those days and our grandmother always had her family around her. This was the usual makeup of the neighborhood and city. Holidays were great fun. Uncle Joe was so much fun. Virginia and I would laugh until our bellies hurt. I will always remember her with that same kind of fun personality as well as our shared family times. My sincere sympathy for your loss Michael. May your wonderful memories of your mother bring you comfort and peace.
