Haverhill – Wayne M. Savage, 57, husband of Lyne M. (Angers) Savage, passed away unexpectedly October 14, 2020.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Edward and Martha L. (Johnson) Savage. Raised and educated in Groveland, he attend Bagnall Elementary and was a graduate of Pentucket Regional High School, Class of 1980. Wayne worked for Unit Construction for 10 years and for the City of Haverhill in the Water Department for 20 years. Wayne was a classic car collector and motorcycle enthusiast. It was a great passion of his. With his wife Lyne he travelled all over New England and New York to many car shows. He was also a talented carpenter and all around handyman. His extensive knowledge of all aspects of home building he was able to basically rebuild his home from the bottom up. Wayne was known as a hard worker his entire life and he passed on his strong work ethic to his children. He was fanatic about his lawn and yard and kept it to perfection. Always ready for a joke and with his quick wit, he will also be remembered for never refusing anyone help when needed. A devoted husband, father and brother, Wayne will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his loving companion, his dog Gibson.
In addition to his loving wife Lyne of over 27 years, he is survived by his children, Derek R. Savage and Morgan E. Savage, both of Haverhill; brothers Kevin Savage and Shawn Savage, both of Groveland; brother Brian Savage; sister Karen Christy of Groveland; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, October 19 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to Massachusetts Suicide Prevention Resource Center, 250 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02108. I could always count on him when everyone else could not handle it!!!! I was lucky to spend a few hours with him a couple of years ago reliving our adventures. I will cherish that and his love and loyalty forever. Love you my brother and will see you on the other side.

When no one else could handle it Wayne was always there. He had guts and we were 100% till death. I was lucky to spend several hours a couple of years ago with Wayne reliving some of the crazy stuff we did. I love and miss you my brother and will see you on the other side.
