Windham, NH – William H. Carter, 70, passed away quietly on September 12, 2019 in Haverhill, Mass.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the (late) Frank B. Carter and Lois G. (Campbell) Carter of Milford, NH, formerly of Andover, Mass. Will attended North Reading High School and graduated in the Class of 1967. He was employed for 20 years as a machinist at Sweetheart Plastics in Wilmington. William lived life simply, an original hippie and spiritual man who loved sky gazing, gardening, hot air ballooning, and pencil sketching. Known as very intelligent and compassionate he kept mostly to himself. He loved his many classic cars especially his Corvettes. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to the mother he adored, he is survived by his siblings, Andrew F. Carter of Keene, NH; Mark S. Carter and his wife Deborah of Corinna, ME; Cynthia (Sis) C. Likas and her husband Roger of Milford, NH; Preston B. Carter of Gloucester, MA; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as friends, old and new. He was predeceased by his son, Christopher W. Carter (1970-1982)
A Celebration of Life will be held with family and friends at his home in Windham, NH, Saturday, September 21st from 12-5 pm. Arrangements are by the Kevin B.
