Danville, NH – Roland M. Gauthier, 83, husband of Diane M. (Carrozza) Gauthier, passed away on Friday, April 22 at Meadowview in North Andover with his loving wife at his side.Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late William and Amanda (Grenier) Gauthier. He was raised and educated in Lowell. At the age of 17 he entered the United States Army and served during the Korean conflict. He also served in the United States Navy Reserves. He was honorably discharged after being wounded by shrapnel and mustard gas. Upon his discharge he was employed at General Electric for a number of years. He was then employed at Market Forge in Everett as a master welder and mechanic. Roland was an avid musician, playing the guitar, piano and various other instruments. He played the kennel drums as a child in an orchestra with his mother. He enjoyed camping and spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.Surviving him is his wife of 28 years, Diane M. (Carrozza) Gauthier.A graveside funeral service will be on Friday, April 29 at 10:30AM at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303.
