Roland Ernest Lajoie, 63, of Haverhill, died Monday, December 17, at Boston Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the, late Robert E. and Eileen (Winter) Lajoie and lived here all of his life. He attended Haverhill Public Schools and left high school to join the U.S.Army. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Infantry in Vietnam for two tours of duty.Mr. Lajoie was employed as a Maintenance Mechanic at Canobie Lake Park in Salem, NH, for over twenty-five years. A dedicated employee, he enjoyed his work and the people he worked with. He was a avid pool player, and was always ready for a friendly card game of 45’s.He leaves his beloved partner of twenty-five years Barbara Ball, of Haverhill, three daughters Billie-Jo Lajoie, of Haverhill, Laurie McRae, and her husband, David, of Moultonborough, NH, and Lynn Lassor, of Merrimac four grandchildren, Bobby-Jo Lajoie, Jamie Lajoie, Jennefer Latham, and Katie Lassor two brothers Lawrence R. Lajoie and his wife, Paula, of Haverhill, and Paul J. Lajoie, of Londonderry, NH.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday evening at 6:30 PM in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. A period of visitation will precede the service from 3 until 6:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
