Haverhill – Shirley J. (Files) Spencer, 77, passed away on December 26th at home surrounded by her loving family.Born in Dover, NH she was the daughter of the late Frances and Gladys E. (Welch) Files. Raised and educated in Haverhill she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1957 and Fazio School of Hair Design in Lawrence. Shirley loved boating, spending most of the summer enjoying her houseboat. Her greatest joy however was being a homemaker and spending time with her children and grandchildren.Shirley is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Conrad R. Spencer and their children Karen M. Jabour and Michael R. Spencer and his wife Kelly (Rogers) all of Haverhill George A. Jabour of Windham, NH a brother, Frank Files and his wife Betty of St. Louis, MO her sisters, Patricia Mallard and her husband Morris “Buck” of Georgia and Mary Burns of Hampton, NH Joanne Files and Carol Files, both of Plaistow, NH grandchildren Aaron, Rachel and Sarah Spencer George and Jessica Jabour and great grandchildren Anthony C. Jabour and Jocelyn Jabour and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lorraine Johnson, Phyllis Jodouin, and Sandra Eaton.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, December 30, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Thursday morning at 9:00AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at St. James Church, Winter Street in Haverhill.
