Stella M. (LaTouche) Sheehan, 88, of Haverhill, formerly of Groveland, died Wednesday, April 18, at the Wingate at Haverhill, after a short period of declining health.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late, Arthur J. and Eliza E. (McPhee) LaTouche and was raised by her step mother, Blanche Brunelle. Educated in Haverhill, at a young age she began her career as a stitcher in the local shoe manufacturing industry.After her marriage to Richard F. Sheehan, they moved to Providence, R.I. and after a few years, relocated to Groveland where they raised their family.The widow of Richard F. Sheehan who died in 1981, she leaves her sons, Paul and his wife, Teresa “Cooky” Sheehan, of Hampton, NH, and Peter A. Sheehan, of Haverhill, three grandchildren, Todd R. Sheehan, and Allison M. Baker, and Christopher Sheehan, sister and brothers in law, Carol and Joseph Sheehan, of Georgetown, and Edward Sheehan, of Lawrence, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, including her twin, Veronica Courtemanche, and Louise Rustigan.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Sunday, from 2 until 5 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery, Main St. Groveland.
