Haverhill – Stephen R. Fales, 62, died on October 11, 2018, holding his husband’s hand and with his daughter by his side. It happened to be National Coming Out Day. He leaves behind his devoted husband David Zoffoli of Bradford, MA his loving daughter Jenna Fales of Worcester, MA and her mother Patricia FAles of Ayer, MA his steadfast and adoring mother Barbara Fales of Delray Beach, FL his sister Debbie and her husband Joe Cayer of Rochester, NH his sister Audrey Fales of Delray Beach, FL his brother Douglas and his wife Maria Fales of Plantation, FL his aunt Mary and her husband Dave Barnd of Manahawkin, NJ his uncle John and his wife Mimi of Boynton Beach, FL. He also leaves a slew of cousins, nieces and nephews.Steve was born in Wilmington, MA, grew up in Tewksbury, MA and graduated from Tewksbury High School.Steve championed human rights, especially for the underdog, and developed his lifelong passion for photography later in life. He nurtured untold friendships with his “chimpers” at the Merrimack Valley Camera Club, where he volunteered his time to lead field trips and plan events. He won numerous awards (in both print and digital competitions) and his work is held in several private collections. Steve’s reputation as an entrepreneur in the Merrimack Valley was legion among his Snap-on Tool customers. Known for superior customer service and honest advice, Steve retired this past April after 30+ years of dedicated service and technical support.Mostly we remember Steve for his spontaneous sense of humor, generosity, dependability and enduring compassion.
