Susan E. (Gately) Belfiore

Haverhill – Susan E. (Gately) Belfiore, 60, wife of Gary Belfiore, passed away unexpectantly on May 29, 2020 at her home in Haverhill.

Born in Groveland, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Marjorie (Cleary) Gately. She attended Whittier Tech, graduated in the Class of 1978. Susan was a former lifetime resident of South Groveland. She previously worked in production at Valley Screw, as receptionist at Diamond Auto and Bill Deluca’s Auto. Susan loved the beach at Seabrook and spent many summers there. She enjoyed planting flowers, gardening and shopping. Susan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all her family, friends and her dog “Bella”.

In addition to her loving husband Gary, she is survived by her children, Brian M. Belfiore and his wife Bailey of Haverhill; Sarah Lynn Belfiore and her fiancé` Doug Himmer of Bradford; her grandchildren, Abigail Belfiore and Olivia Belfiore; brothers, Kevin Gately and his partner Todd Leavitt of Colchester, VT; Thomas Gately and his wife Veronica of Spokane, WA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother George “ Teddy” Gately, Jr.

    So sad to hear of Susan’s passing. I really got to know Sue when I helped to care for her lovely mom. Sarah, I loved reconnecting with you at the bakery recently and was looking forward to seeing Mom again.
