Haverhill – Thomas L. Duval, 70, of Haverhill passed away Friday August 11, at the High Pointe Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late, Lucien J. Duval Sr. and Margaret B. (Cunningham) Duval. He attended St. Joseph’s grammar school and the attended Haverhill public schools and Haverhill High School. He began his career at the Hudson Shoe Machinery Corp. working there for several years and later he worked in manufacturing windows and doors for Coastal Industries. In his spare time Tom enjoyed building model cars. A gifted artist, he also sketched. He loved the outdoors and nature. If he was stuck in the house he watched his favorite classic T.V. shows or westerns. The time he relished most were times spent with family. He cherished his grandchildren and was very proud of them.A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves his wife of fifty years Karen (Cate) Duval, of Haverhill, his daughter Wendy Duval, of Haverhill, a son, Thomas L. Duval Jr., of Haverhill, his four grandchildren Kassandra Coco, John J. Coco Jr., Skyla Lambert, and Craig Duval, a brother Roland E. Duval and his wife, Donna, of Haverhill and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Lucien J. Jr., and James and a sister, Carole Friddle.Family and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 6:30 PM at the Kevin B.
