Thomas R. Medrano, 71, of Haverhill, formerly of Leeds, Maine, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at the Oxford Nursing Home in Haverhill after a lengthy illness.Born in Boston, he was the son of the late, Melecio and Anne (Pratt) Medrano. His early years were spent in Medford where he attended elementary school. His family relocated to Maine, where he attended Lewiston High School and was a 1956 graduate.Moving back to the Boston area, he received a B.S. degree from Boston University. Mr. Medrano was employed as a surveyor for a Boston area civil engineering firm, until his retirement over 10 years ago.He leaves two brothers, his twin brother with whom he lived, Dana F. Medrano of Haverhill, and Carroll P. Medrano of New York City.ARRANGEMENTS: Friends are respectfully invited to call on Tuesday (TODAY) at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Route 125) Haverhill, from 6 until 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill.
