BRADFORD – Thomas R. Hart, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Thomas was born in Haverhill on March 25, 1953, the son of Richard and Grace (Burchell) Hart. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1971 and then went on to attend Northeastern University. Tom was an outstanding football player at both schools. Over the years Thomas enjoyed bartending at the Cask and Flagon in Boston, and watching all Boston sports. He worked as a probation officer at Stoughton and the Haverhill District Courts for 25 years until his retirement from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Thomas will be remembered as a loving son, cousin and friend. He is survived by his cousins: Michael and Patricia Hart of Haverhill, William “Bud” and Patricia Hart of Rye NH, Joseph and Linda Hart of Haverhill, David and Dee Dee Hart of Haverhill, John and Mary O’Keefe of No. Reading, Bernadette and Roger Cote of Tolland, CT, Ann M. and Robert Croatti of Southborough, Diane E. and Steven Bottcher of Shrewsbury, Mary DuGrenier-Cote of Bradford, Julie A. and Joseph Carven of Amesbury, and Katie G. and Kevin Keefe of Bradford. He was predeceased by his cousin Kevin Hart. Tom also leaves behind his cousins Audrey, Sue and Tricia, James, Marie and Maureen Burchell; and his many friends at the “Baldi”.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 16 at 10 AM at Sacred Hearts Parish, Bradford. Had some great times with “Hartsy” at Haverhill High, played basketball and baseball on the High school teams with him, and Tom was always having fun, and was a great athlete. My condolences to his family.
Ton “Hartsy” was a dear & good friend to my brother Brian Pierce. They enjoyed many fun times together and Tom was always a great guy.
