Thomas Thompson

Methuen – Thomas (Bubba) Thompson, 57 of Methuen passed away peacefully June 2, 2015 with his loving family by his side. Born and raised in Oil City PA, he was one of two children of the late Clarence Thompson and RubyLee Cunningham of PA. He was a graduate of Oil City High School.Bubba proudly and honorably served his country in the US Navy for 6 years, where he met his loving wife Carole Getchell. After being stationed in California together for several years they married and settled in Methuen where they raised their family. He was employed by the Town of Methuen.An avid football fan, Bubba enjoyed watching the Steelers particularly when they were competing against the Patriots. He loved cooking, playing pool, bowling and fishing. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends and especially his wife.In addition to his devoted wife of 23 years, Carole Ann Getchell Thompson, he leaves behind his daughter Tawnya of PA his sons Dalton and Dustin of Methuen his brother John Thompson of PA two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are respectfully invited to a graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 No. Lowell Street, Methuen at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 8.
