Vickie Tracy

Haverhill – Vickie E. (Cate) Tracy, 69, wife of Robert W. Tracy, passed away March 22, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen surrounded by her loving family.Born in Derry, NH she was the daughter of the late Natt J. and Marie T. (Collins) Cate. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill High School. With her husband Robert, Vickie enjoyed motorcycle riding on their Can-Am around MA and NH and a trip to New York. She was a talented artist, painting, knitting and sewing, and many other crafts. A great cook, loved gorillas, and an avid bingo player, and also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods. She loved to sing and laugh and to make others laugh with her. Her contagious laugh will be missed! She most enjoyed time spent with family. Vickie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed being with family and watching her grandchildren at their sporting events. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children, Tammy A. Merritt of Haverhill Robert Tracy Jr. and his wife Christina of Haverhill her sister, Lisa Yell and her husband George of Haverhill four grandchildren, Chelsea Patti and her partner Kyle Bolen, Corey Jones, Ryan Tracy, Aiden Tracy and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Karen Duval, brothers Barry Cate, George Cate, Steven Smart, Gary Smart, John Smart, Jr. and her son in law Richard Merritt. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, March 26 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be on Tuesday morning at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Avenue, Haverhill.
