William N. “Willy” Frascone Jr., 62, of Haverhill, died peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, February, 26, 2012, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.Born in Newburyport, December 23, 1949, he was the son of the late William N. Sr. and Dorothy (Smith) Frascone.Educated in Haverhill public schools, he attended Haverhill High School. Willy began his working career at an early age, working within the local Haverhill shoe industry.A Veteran of the Vietnam War, Willy proudly served his country, enlisting in the United States Navy in 1969, and was honorably discharged in 1971.Employed by several prominent local businesses, he worked for Diversified Business Systems of Haverhill as a collator as well as Western Electric, all before opening his own business, W.F. Painting, working as a self employed painter until his retirement.In his spare time, Willy loved the great outdoors. An avid fisherman, he especially loved deep-sea or freshwater fishing and often spent time fishing with his friends and family.Willy is survived by his five children, two sons, William Frascone and his wife Candice of Goffstown, NH and Anthony Frascone of Goffstown, NH, three daughters, Melissa Little and her husband John of Haverhill, MA, Nicole Frascone, of Haverhill, and Alexis Rivas and her husband Eddie of Bradford, two sisters, Fannie Dandurant and her husband Dennis of Haverhill and Tia Frascone, of Haverhill, four brothers, Lorenzo Frascone of Haverhill, George Frascone and his wife Donna of Bradford, Robert Frascone of Baltimore Maryland, and Nicholas Frascone and his wife Christine of Kingston, NH, his sister-in-law, Barbara Frascone of Methuen MA, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Willy was pre-deceased by his brother Thomas Frascone and a sister-in-law, Eyvonne Frascone.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service at 5 PM on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, (Rte, 125) Haverhill. A period of visitation will be held prior to the service from 3 until 5PM. Burial will be private.
