Dawn A. (Casper) McDonald, 84, passed away on June 21, 2026 at her home in East Kingston, NH.
Dawn was born in Haverhill on December 8, 1941 to Joseph and Virginia (Braley) Casper. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1959, and afterwards worked as a salesperson for World Book Encyclopedia, and then for many years as a secretary for Western Electric, eventually retiring from Lucent Technologies. Dawn enjoyed bowling, golfing, skiing, and gardening. She played endless games of 45s with her card group every week. Dawn relished time on Plum Island at The Cozy Nest. Her early summers were enjoyed at Swains Lake and Newfound Lake. She spent time with her husband in the Virgin Islands and on the beach in Aruba. Dawn even traveled on a riverboat cruise in Europe to Amsterdam and Prague. She loved her two cockatiels – named after her grandparents – Gus and Pearl.
Dawn will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her husband Robert A. McDonald of East Kingston, NH, and her children Kerry and William Richard of Amesbury, Timothy and Hope McDonald of East Kingston, and Jill and Tyler Hooper of The Villages, FL. She also leaves behind her sister Tami Andrews and her husband James of Rumford, ME; and grandchildren Derek Richard, Craig Richard, Mackenzie Dzwonek, Nicole Sevigny, Mitchell McDonald, Megan Cicale, Kayleigh Carter, and Delaney Hooper; and eight great grandchildren.
