Doris “DoDo” (Gray) Madore, 78

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Doris “DoDo” (Gray) Madore, 78, who passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, at her home in Haverhill.

Doris was born in Peabody on January 22, 1948, to Fernand and Evelyn (Berube) Madore. She spent several years working in the light bulb division at General Electric and later at the R.E. Moulton Agency in Marblehead. Through her work and daily life, Doris formed many lasting friendships and was known for her warm smile and welcoming nature.

Doris found joy in collecting fine items and loved spending time playing BINGO, cards, and visiting the casino. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and was well known for her gregarious personality, generous spirit, and loving heart. Doris treasured her time with family and friends and was a devoted wife, sister, and aunt who always made those around her feel special.

She is lovingly survived by her sister, Lorraine Madore of Haverhill; her son, Scott Gray and his wife Kelly of Nashua, New Hampshire; and her grandson, Hunter Mahoney. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Lauren Cameron, David Cameron, Michelle and Jack Rybicki, Ronnie Madore and his husband Brian, and Nadine Robbins and her husband William, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband, Elliot “Sonny” Gray, and her brother, Laurent Madore.

Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Salem, Massachusetts at a later date.
