F. Rita (Bilodeau) Groves, 92, of Haverhill passed away on April 10, 2026 in North Conway , NH at her son Skip’s residence surrounded by family.
Rita was born in Haverhill on February 10, 1934 to Raymond and Ann (Shaw) Bilodeau. She spent much of her life volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul, Emmaus, Inc., and Mitch’s Place, she would help anyone at need. Rita enjoyed traveling countries world-wide with her husband Richard, and spending time with her family at their camp in North Conway.
Rita is survived by her children Lauren Knowles and her husband Raymond of Bradford, Richard A. “Skip” Groves, Jr. and his wife Laurel of No. Conway, NH, Timothy W. Groves and Linda Slabczynski of Bradford; and her grandchildren William Phillips, Christopher Knowles, Justin and his wife Dayana Knowles, Nicole Batchelder, Timothy Groves, Ashley Groves, Jeremy Groves; and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Richard A. Groves in 2018, brothers Raymond “Sonny” Bilodeau, Jr. and Robert Bilodeau, and grandson Steven R. Groves.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, April 16th from 4PM until 7PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 17th at 10AM at Sacred Hearts Parish, Bradford. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
