FREMONT, NH – Garland B. Peer, Jr., 61, of Fremont, NH passed away on October 7, 2026 at Exeter Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Garland (Bernie) was born in Bitburg, Germany. He was the son of Garland B, Sr. and Theresia E. Peer, and attended Pemberton High School in NJ. Garland worked for many years in the auto body and marine industry, but most recently as the manager of Danvers Auto Body. He enjoyed spending time outdoors; hiking, biking, hunting and fishing, camping, boating, gardening, and socializing with friends. He was one of the most driven, hardworking individuals that you would meet, and extremely passionate of his hobbies.
Garland is survived by his wife Maria A. (Martocchia) Peer of Fremont, NH, his son Tyler B. Peer, his wife Miranda R. Peer, and granddaughter Madelyn M. Peer of Denver, NC. He also leaves behind his in laws; Nancy Martocchia of Raymond, NH, Teresa Stockwell of Exeter, NH, and Gina and Mark Johston of Haverhill, MA. He also leaves behind many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and very close friends. He was predeceased by his parents Garland and Theresia Peer, and his brother O’Dell Peer.
Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill, MA. A celebration of life will be held with his closest family and friends.
