Groveland – Kathryn Marie (Fenlon) Crowley (87) of Groveland died peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026.
Born in Haverhill and raised in Bradford, MA, Kathryn was the second of three children born to the late John L. and Helen G. (McCusker) Fenlon. Kathryn was a graduate of Saint James High School (’57) and attended Bridgewater State Teachers College, where she fell in love with her future husband, Robert.
Kathryn’s career was dedicated to advocating for the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities at the Hathorne School, Career Resources Corporation and L’Arche Boston North.
A faithful servant of God, Kathryn was a lifelong member of Saint Patrick’s Church at Sacred Hearts Parish in Groveland. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Kathryn led a weekly Rosary for Peace for over thirty years.
As a young woman, Kathryn was an enthusiastic athlete and participated in synchronized swimming, ice skating, tennis, skiing, and cycling. Continuing her love for sports later in life, she was an avid Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. The ultimate cheerleader, she attended countless sporting and arts events for her beloved grandchildren.
Kathryn was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She leaves behind her beloved children including three sons, Bruce J., Kenneth J., and John D. and wife Farrell, and three daughters, Bridget H. Crowley, Sarah K. Perry and husband Michael, and Judith M.V. Davis and husband Michael. Kathryn is predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert F. Crowley, and brothers, Edward J. Fenlon and John L. Fenlon. Kathryn had twenty seven nieces and nephews. She is also survived by eleven dearly loved grandchildren, including Shawn Patrick Crowley, Kevin Brandon Crowley, Hannah Kathryn Perry, Cullen Michael Perry, Margaret Fenlon Crowley, Ava Marie Perry, Christian Robert Perry, Harry Robert Crowley, Marianne Galt Crowley, Sadie Kathryn Davis, and Jackson Robert Davis.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Friday, September 18 between 4:00 and 7:00 pm at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) in Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19 at 10:30 am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 am at Saint Patrick’s Church, 114 Center St. in Groveland. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery, 186 Main St. in Groveland.
