Linda R. (Picard) Mills, 84, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Linda was born in Haverhill on December 15, 1941 to Wilbur and Pauline (Cooper) Picard and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1959. She then went on to earn her Associates Degree from Chandler School for Women in Boston and worked for Rosatone and Bell, LLC for 31 years, and the Haverhill YMCA for 9 years. She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren, going to the beach, walks, playing cards and knitting. Linda enjoyed people and was an active volunteer for a variety of activities and programs including mentoring at the Silver Hill Elementary School and the YWCA, and she was a member of the Single 8 Square Dance Club, the First Congregational Church in Haverhill, the Olive Maynard Society, and the Haverhill Female Benevolent Society.
Linda is survived by her son Jeffrey S. Mills, Sr. and his wife Sheila of Glennville, GA, and her daughter Michelle Wunderlich and her husband Marc of Haverhill. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Jeffrey Mills, Jr., Jacob Mills, Harlee Mills, Wyatt Wunderlich and Georgia Wunderlich and her great granddaughter Jayden Mills; her God-daughter Wendy Canney, and her special friends Patricia Roger, Viola Glennie, and Alice Hutchins. She was predeceased by her husband Steve L. Mills, and her brother Jason Douglas Picard of Haverhill.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, June 29th from 4PM until 7PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A funeral home chapel service will be held on Tuesday, June 30th at 11AM followed burial at Linwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Haverhill Touchdown Club.
